Existing federal obscenity laws, which are not being enforced by the U.S. Department of Justice, prohibit distribution of hardcore, obscene pornography on the Internet, on cable/satellite or hotel/motel TV and in sexually oriented businesses and other retail shops. We launched and direct a coalition effort of more than 130 national, state and local groups to work together with many members of the U.S. Congress to pressure the U.S. Department of Justice to once again vigorously enforce these laws.
Many schools and public libraries have either no or inadequate filtering software in place on their computers, allowing children and adults access to hardcore pornography and leading to many other dangers at these supposedly safe places. This project equips concerned citizens with knowledge and assistance to get filters in their local libraries and schools. We invite you to take on this project in your area.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is responsible for enforcing decency standards on broadcast TV. These standards prohibit nudity and profanity on public TV. The FCC must enforce our right to decency on the public airwaves!

Many leading companies in America have reacted to a lack of obscenity law enforcement by the federal government and jumped into the porn distribution business due to the lure of substantial profits. These companies (such as Hilton Hotels, Comcast, Barnes & Noble, Facebook) should be pressured to end their involvement with pornography because of its toxic influence on the public, particularly on children and families.
The U.S. Military has a serious pornography problem, and is doing next to nothing to combat it. Now, we are seeing the consequences with at least 70 reported sexual assaults a day in our nation’s armed services and a growing culture accepting of sexual exploitation even in the top ranks.
The goal of this effort is to help change the current sexually hostile culture in the military. We call on the Department of Defense to stop the sale of pornography on military exchanges, as well as for the military to adopt a policy that prohibits access to pornography on all military bases.
The .XXX domain was proposed as a place that all Internet porn sites would relocate, making the rest of the Internet porn free. As we predicted from the beginning, however, that did not happen. Porn companies did not relocate to .XXX, but instead, they kept their .COM sites and opened additional porn sites on .XXX.
The company behind .XXX, ICM Registry, is seeking permission to open up three more porn domains, .PORN, .ADULT and .SEX.
We know that this just means the Internet porn companies will expand to those domains as well and thousands of new porn sites will appear. Join us in the fight to oppose these!”
